Leading Excellence through Quality Improvement – the CMDHB Way

Presented by:  Jagpal Benipal is the Senior Quality Improvement Manager at Counties Manukau District Health Board, where he is involved in developing and leading quality improvement initiatives.  Jagpal has 20 years of work experience in the health sector.  For over half of this time, has been responsible for successfully leading and developing both innovative health services as well as training and academic programmes and supervising quality improvement projects

Join us to get an update from the man who has been seconded to lead this national development

Presented by: Nigel Wilkinson

Starting his career as a Chartered Account, Nigel moved into Health in 1994, joining Auckland Healthcare Services Limited, the Auckland Central Crown Health Enterprise within the competitive model that was being promoted at that time. Since then he has held general management roles at Starship Hospital, Green Lane Hospital and Waitemata DHB before taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer for healthAlliance, a shared service provider owned jointly by Counties Manukau DHB and Waitemata DHB. Nigel is currently on secondment as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Health Benefits Limited, the company established to lead the development of shared services for DHBs with the aim of achieving significant savings and efficiencies.
